The Moonshine Tour – Dallas, TX
Last night, I got to see Tyler Carter perform at Trees in Dallas for the final show of part one of The Moonshine Tour. I’ve been a fan of his for a while, pretty sure I mentioned this in another blog, but he is the lead singer of one of my favorite bands (Issues – check them out too while you’re at it!) but I adore the fact that his solo stuff has such a different vibe to it. I definitely have a few staple favorites so far, Pressure being #1 – at least until the entire album is out, and I can’t even begin to explain to y’all how awesome it was to hear it (and the others) live.
Tyler is an amazing performer and puts on one hell of a show. If I had to rank it, I’d say it’s definitely up there in my Top 3 shows I’ve ever been to. I even brought a friend along who wasn’t too familiar with Tyler’s music before the show (other than the songs I sent him a couple days prior) and he loved it! I think that speaks to how awesome/relatable his music is, and how well he performs it. He has this undeniable presence that gets you excited and into the songs, even if you don’t know every word – or any of the words at all. He played a mix of old and new songs, and it’s safe to say that I sang – I use that term loosely, scream might be a better choice – but regardless, I sang my heart out to all of them. It’s hard to explain, but it’s such an amazing experience to see someone share something that they are just so obviously and insanely proud of, and he did exactly that. You could literally feel the emotion and excitement as he shared a few new songs from the Moonshine album, which is set to release on February 1st.
Honestly, I feel like I get super cheesy when it comes to talking about stuff like this, but I adore getting to see artists that I love like Tyler, doing what they love and sharing their immense talent with the world. Whether it’s a heavy pop-punk song with Issues or a slowed-down solo song with a country twang (he is from Georgia after all) Tyler kills it, no matter what style/genre, which is so ridiculously impressive. To top it all off, after the show he was so sweet and genuine to everyone and was taking pictures, signing merch, and having real conversations with people, which is just another reason to love and support him and his music even more. He was thanking everyone he spoke to for coming to the show and was just so down to earth and sweet, and you honestly can’t beat that. If you want to see videos from the show, feel free to click here to view the music highlight on my Instagram, and be sure to check out Tyler Carter (You can find him on Youtube, Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) and order his new album Moonshine when it comes out February 1st!
